The River Cabin, Mountain Cabin, and Romantic Cottage is 4 miles to the main light in town and we are 3 miles down the Big Thompson Canyon Hwy 34(E).

There is no "Office" . Your unit will be unlocked and the key on the table.
There is a phone in your unit. We ask that you give us a call so we know that you have arrived safely and go over any questions you might have.
How
many people can sleep in the units?
PLEASE NOTE:AS OF 2008 DUE TO OUR SEPTIC SYSTEM IN THE CANYON WE ARE NOW UNABLE TO ACCOMADATE ANYMORE THEN TWO TO A CABIN. THE CARRRIAGE HOUSE IS ON PUBLIC UTILITIES AND CAN HOLD FOUR BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE FORMAL BEDROOM AND A SLEEPER SOFA IN THE LIVINGROOM. THE HIDEAWAY CABIN DOES NOT HAVE RESTRICTIONS.
Ideally our units are best suited For Couples. The Romantic
Cottage is for COUPLES ONLY!! The other three have a formal
bedroom with a Queen bed. The River Cabin and Carriage House have
Queen sleeper sofas in the Living Room and the River
Cabin also has a twin bed in the loft. The loft has low ceilings
so is best suited for a child.
What
do you have for kitchen facilities?
All of the units but the Romantic Cottage have a full kitchen that includes condiments, cooking and grilling spices, oils, sandwich baggies , seran wrap and foil. The Romantic Cottage has a Microwave/Convection Oven, toaster, coffee maker, blender, large dorm size refrigerator, two burner hot plate with pots and pans, two sizes of electric skillets, crock pot, microwavable plates, etc, and a small bar sink. All units have a gas BBQ and patio table and chairs. They all have plates, silverware and drinking cups . We have tried to supply you with most things that you would need.
Are
the Hot Tubs private or shared ?
No sharing at ANNIES..........We have private outdoor hot tubs
for all four units. The Mountain
Cabin, Romantic Cottage
and River Cabin all have 6
foot privacy fences with a gate for your privacy.
The Carriage House hot
tub is in an enclosure that looks like an old Western Saloon that has windows on three of
the four sides, and a dome in it's roof for viewing the trees
and sky, and is located directly above the tub area. The windows can slide open.
What
about fishing?
There is great fishing just out the back door here.
The Division of Wildlife is trying to make this
upper part of the Big Thompson River a Gold
Medal fishery. It is catch and release
with flies
and lures only. If you want to keep some for
dinner - you can either go to Lake Estes to fish or
you can travel down the canyon about 11 miles
where you can use bait and keep them.
The Carriage House is not on the river but is only about
a mile from the River and you can hike right into RMNP
from your door.
The Hideaway Cabin is not by the river but it does have
awesome Mountain Views
How far from the river would you say the River Cabin is?
There is a little stream that is part of the the river that runs just below the
deck - about 25 feet and the river runs down below that - you have to walk down to it - may be about 100 feet give or take. Depending on the season - like during the Summer - you can't see the river because of all the trees and willows. You can hear it though from the deck and hot tub.
Is there a minimum night stay?
We do not have a minimum night stay but we have also
found from other guests that a one night stay is
not long enough!
Do
You Accept Pets?
Due to pet dander, allergies and the fact that we only have four units we cannot accept pets.
How
we get the rest of our balance to you?
Once you arrive in your unit and get settled we ask you to give
us a quick call so that we know you have arrived and go over any
questions you might have. We then can take care of payment if
you still have a balance.
Do
you have any Restaurant Menus?
Yes we have copies of most all Menus from the local restaurants
in each unit to help you out on where to eat.
Which unit is the most secluded?
We cater to anniversaries and honeymooners so even though the cabins are not real far apart in the Big Thompson Canyon, the Private Outdoor Hot Tubs have 6 ft.tall privacy fences. If you are getting married during warm weather then the Romantic Cottage, which is in the Canyon - but closest to the water and the most secluded, is a great pick. It is our littlest one but very Romantic and has a great outdoor covered deck, with a little stream that runs along the side of the Cottage.
Our Carriage House is on the same property as our residence but it is nestled in the Pine Trees and has a really cute dwelling that the Private Hot Tub sits in....this unit is Western themed, which is carried out with the hot tub room looking like a old Western Saloon, complete with swinging doors. The Carriage House also borders RMNP.
What is there to do around Estes ??
There are lots of things to do............RMNP (Rocky Mountain National Park) has hundreds of miles of hiking to lakes and water falls. There are several horse back riding stables. We have 2 movie theaters and two amusement type areas with putt putt, go carts, water boats. Lake Estes has a four mile hike/ bike path around it with spectacular views of the Mountains and you can rent paddle boats or bikes. The village of Estes Park is nestled in a valley surrounded by Mountain Peaks........with quaint shops, galleries, wineries, Restaurants, glass blowing shops.....and much more. You can go River Rafting. .
